What Should I Do to Be More Funny?

Daily routines are important for maintaining my health, both mentally and physically. For instance, I continue recording life logs and review it. However, it’s not the (4)be-all and end-all of health.

I got an insight from one of my friends. He (1) alludes that humor (2) amounts to a good health. That makes sense because people are always searching for funny things. There are many comedy shows broadcast in Japan unfortunately, I can’t enjoy it because their brand of humor feels boring and I think it is a waste of time.

“Do you know R-1 Grand-Prix? It’s a famous audition of Japanese comedians. Everyone can try going on the stage for 2 minutes if they pay the fee of 2000JPN. I attended it last year.
Unfortunately, I could not pass the first stage of selection!”

He is an ordinary business person who is not so young, so I was surprised and asked why he wanted to attend it.

“It’s a good opportunity to (3) angle for a unique viewpoint. Because I often do presentations in front of many people. Don’t you think that it’s affordable and interesting?” For sure, I agree with in his opinion.

After that, he shared the topic of the audition. It sounds interesting, and I was proud of him for creating a story. As a result, I realized I should create a funny story. Alas! Is it possible for me? I’m too earnest and boring compared him.
