One day I noticed something interesting when I woke up early in the morning. At first, one kind of bird tweeted to each other, and then stopped after a while. Then another kind of bird started chattering. After a while, another kind of bird squeaked. For example, it starts with the crows, and then the sparrows, and then the Pigeons would (3)coo. I’m almost sure I haven’t heard them sing at the same time in the early mornings. If I were a bird scholar, I would know the reason (4) like the back of my hand!
However, I didn’t give up to thinking about it. I found a(1)corresponding situation on the internet. It’s a kind of habitat segregation. They change their active times because they instinctively avoid useless battle even if they live the same place. This strategy is also helpful for humanity, I guess. For instance, I like commuting earlier in the morning than other employees because the rush hours are too tough. I was able to (2)cope with this situation by doing some research.

Title: A kind of habitat segregation
One day I noticed some wondering when I wake up in the early morning. Firstly, one kind of birds tweeted each other, and they stopped it. Then another kind of birds started to chatter. After a while, another kind of birds squeaked. For example, it starts to Crows, and turn to sparrows, and Pigeons (3)coo. I almost didn’t hear they sang at the same time in the early mornings. If I were a bird scholar, I know the reason (4) like the back of my hand!
However, I didn’t give up to think why. I found the (1)corresponding situation on the internet. It’s a kind of habitat segregation. They change the active time because they instinctively avoid useless battle even if they live the same place. This strategy is also helpful for humanity, I guess. For instance, I like commute earlier morning than other employees because the rush hour trains are too tough. Anyway, this result of research (2)coped my curiosity.

homework: (1)correspond, (2)cope, (3)coo
Expression: (4) (like the) back of one’s hand
If you know something like the back of your hand, you are very familiar with it and know it in detail.
“Of course I won’t get lost. I know London like the back of my hand!”
