I attended 2 events that were related to learning English last weekend.
A big one and a small one.
Which one would you prefer? I prefer the small one.

The big group was attended by about 200 people.
The attendees of that event were of very uneven ability.
But the program was 3 hours, It was so interesting.

I was very surprised because many attendees didn’t know “Kondo Marie”.
She is a famous Japanese organizing consultant.
I bought 3 of her books.

Anyway attendees heard her interview for about 30 secs.
After that we used that material and practiced in English pronunciation.

In total, I talked with 8 people in English.
But there was one person I could hardly understand.
He spoke fast and fluently in long sentences.
I was dismayed and I regretted that I pretended that I understood.

It’s hard to interrupt someone with my English skills.
I learned that I need to memorize phrases I can use to interrupt people.
and I have to train to say them with the proper timing.
I went to the event alone but I didn’t feel as uneasy as I had imagined.
