I reserved flight tickets round-trip from Manila to Singapore on 10th Dec for stay at end of 2018, because my younger brother invited my parents who live in Japan. If the tickets were expensive, I would have had to (1)cash in my chips. Fortunately, I found an affordable one when I used the convenience app, “Traveloka” which I’ve never known before. It’s one of my tutors’ recommendation. I always (2)cast a wide net in my search for planning travel, especially to buy air tickets and reserve accommodation. In this time, I didn’t need to use a hotel because I could use brother’s condo. I stayed there 4 days on 29th December to 1st January. Somebody said it’s short, but It’s all enough for me.  A lot of spare time get me lazier, lose self-discipline. I watched (3)several fat cats on the airplane they continue to eat and drink even only 3 hours while flight time…
I was curious why they were so starving. Even after they spent several hours at the airport. Even though my brother’s house, I also could see fat cats who love to eat and drink a lot. My father complained to me, “You’re so strict. Don’t think deeply. It’s an end of the year!”
I couldn’t stop pointing out he drank and eat too much because I worried about his health.  A cat is one of my favorites animals, however, I don’t want to become a fat cat. Even If I stuck on the seat on the airplane or a huge spare time, I’d like to keep my self-discipline. At least it brings me happier than a full stomach.

homework:
(1)cash in your chips:
If you cash in your chips, you sell something, especially shares, either because you need the money or because you think the value is going to fall. (e.g.)”Andy cashed in his chips as soon as business started to slow down.”

(2)cast a wide net:
When trying to find something, if you, you cover an extensive area or use a wide range of sources. (e.g.)”The hospital cast a wide net in their search for compatible donors.”

(3)a fat cat:
This term used to refer to a rich, powerful, self-satisfied person who uses their money and power in a way that you disapprove of.
(e.g.)”The place was full of fat cats on their big yachts.”
