Sales of comics and photo books of idols are increasing every year but novels and the other kind of books’ sales are declining. When Kindle started their online publishing in Japan in 2012, it was said that digital publishing will turn out to be (3)a cash cow. The system (1)carved out a niche at that time. Impress Corporation predicted that digital publishing sales will reach JPN 315 billion in 2022 but if you don’t include comics and photo books sales it would only amount to 50 billion.

The Japanese Publishing Industry is absolutely sinking little by little. If we want to survive from this sinking ship, we have to go ahead and try to revolutionize ourselves. It’s a (2)case in point.”
He also wrote, “Books are not only consumable things and a form of entertainment but also knowledge and wisdom. It will be a big problem if it will be lost like a path of a long lost trading route. ” I highly agree with his opinion because I am a bookworm. In my opinion, digital books have changed the world already, but real books still have a strong power of influence.
