If I ever need to call an ambulance, what should I do? Fortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to do so until last Sunday. At that time, I was exercising with my friends in a gymnasium. At the same time, a 6-year old boy fell down and injured his left elbow. He (1)freaked out and cried out loudly. His arm was not swollen and wasn’t bleeding, so I guessed it was dislocated.
The gymnasium clerk immediately called an ambulance. The paramedics called several hospitals, but it took some time to find a hospital that accepted pediatric orthopedic cases because it was a Sunday. Unfortunately, his parents were not with him because he came there with his neighbor whose son was also his classmate. So I rode the ambulance to accompany him. I ended up cooperating because the neighbor had to go back home and pick kid’s mother from the hospital. I have no children, but If I had a child, I may (3)fuss over my kid. If my child were to be injured, it would (4) make my blood boil. So when I met the boy’s mother in the hospital, I was surprised and admired her calm attitude. The doctor said that the boy’s left elbow was broken and needed surgery and that he would be hospitalized for a week. I haven’t experience surgery or broken a bone until now.
