I watched a documentary TV program which enlightening avoid addict or sickness. It showed many cases of addiction and Intractable disease. Restless leg syndrome, Diabetes, Alcohol dependence, gambling addiction etc…
Some Entertainer and musician fought the sickness and addiction. An addiction patient regretted which he couldn’t accept the fact directly because it’s a real (4)can of worms. Most patients believe themselves to recovery by themselves. However, the key person to help them is a doctor or specialist who (3)calls the shots. Patients (2)wrote down their symptom and confessed their past on that TV show. I highly honor their courage because it would help suffering people who have a similar symptom. The TV show is recruiting an Entertainer who conquered an intractable disease. I hope somebody would (1)write back to accept it.

homework:
(1)write back: Reply to a letter.
(e.g) “Lucy and Steve sent me an invitation and I wrote back to accept it.”
(2)write (something) down: Note something on a piece of paper.
(e.g) “Richard wrote down the address of the hotel.”
(3)call the shots: The person who calls the shots or the tune is the one who makes all the important decisions and is in control of the situation.
(e.g) “Jimmy shows a lot of authority but in fact it’s his wife who calls the tune.”
(4)can of worms: To describe a situation as a can of worms means that it is complicated, unpleasant and difficult to deal with.
(e.g) “The discovery of the transfer of funds turned out to be a real can of worms.”
