Last Friday, I (1)clocked out at 12:30 because I was going to pick my friend up at the NAIA Airport. At that time, one of my colleagues went to the Japanese embassy which is near the airport on behalf of another co-worker. I went along with her because it’s the first time for me to visit it. When we arrived, there were almost 10 people queuing. Their opening time in afternoon starts at 13:30 just (2)like clockwork. We submitted the documents of the updated passport of our Japanese coworker. However, It was rejected because of a small mistake in the power of attorney, it was a (3)close call. The embassy officer apologized to us for their strict rule. I learned I need endurance if I need to go through the procedure of updating my passport. (4)Another key thing to remember is that I should consider executing it with time to spare.

Title: I need endurance

Last Friday, I was (1)clocked out at 12:30 because I was going to pick my friend up at the NIA Airport. One of my colleagues went to the Japanese embassy where is near the Airport on behalf of another Worker at that time. I also went with her. It’s the first time to visit there for me. When we arrived there, there were almost 10 people queuing. Their opening time of afternoon starts at 13:30 (2)like clockwork. We submitted the documents of update passport of our Japanese coworker. However, It was rejected because of a small mistake of the power of attorney, it was a (3)close call. The embassy officer apologized us for their strict rule. I learned I need endurance if I need to update the procedure of Passport. (4)Another key thing to remember is that I should consider executing that with time to spare.

homework:
(1) clock in / clock out
When you clock in or out, you record the time you arrive or leave your job by punching a time clock to show the number of hours you have worked.
(e.g.) “I’m going to clock out early today. I’ve got a dental appointment”
(2) like clockwork
To say that someone or something goes, runs or behaves like clockwork means that everything happens exactly as expected.
(e.g.) “Meals are always served on time. In their home everything runs like clockwork.”

(3) close call
If something happens, or is avoided or missed, with very little margin, it is called a close call.
(e.g.) “She won the election with 0.5% of the votes – it was a close call.”

(4) Another key thing to remember
Usage: Use the phrase “another key point to remember” or “another key fact to remember” to introduce additional facts without using the word “also”.

Example: “As a Romantic, Blake was a proponent of a closer relationship between humans and nature. Another key point to remember is that Blake was writing during the Industrial Revolution, which had a major impact on the world around him.”
