I’m good at to making some soft-boiled eggs. The important thing is a time and temperature management but the kind of pot is not so. I always use a timer and a thermometer. You can use any kind of pot, made of brass or Iron, or stainless steel. The egg should be at room temperature. If the egg is cold, it would break.
Never put the egg until the water is seething. After the water seethes, boil the egg for 7 minutes then cool it down in cold water. If you don’t do that the inner membrane of the egg would not peel easily.
Once I brought soft boiled eggs to a friend’s home party. They ate it and said that it was delicious. One of my friends asked me how I made it so I taught her because she wanted to make tasty ramen for her husband. She is a paragon of a virtuous wife compared to me.
I’m not being cynical. I think it is quixotic why she likes a brazen and bohemian man. I would not have chosen him if I had been her. Some people prefer eating hard-boiled eggs over soft-boiled eggs, different strokes for different folks.
