Here are 10 life hacks which my favorite author, Shogo Sasaki, shared to his readers on 26th Dec. He recommends reviewing these basic principles before starting a new year.
01. Try going to bed before your scheduled time.
02. Write a diary every day.
03. Write something down if you don’t want to forget it.
04. Make habit of figuring out your priority for the day every morning 05. Don’t think about make it a habit of trying something that seems impossible.
06. Just try one thing at a time.
07. Don’t think about wanting to completely finish something.
08. Decide on your schedule as soon as possible.
09. Immediately make a record after you pay for something.
10. Make a subconscious system of your daily routine.

He is a specialist of time management who is also knowledgeable in psychology. I’m (1)carrying the torch for him because his explanation and methods helped me when I was under a lot of stress in my job. I realized I’ve (3)put the cart in front of the horse for a long time after I read his book and attended the seminar. I already know these things. I already subconsciously do over half of them.  However, his reminders (2)carry weight and shows how weak my willpower is. I wrote down these 10 principles on my schedule book of 2019, hopefully to help in achieving my goals for the new year.

(2)carry weight: If a person or organization carries weight, they are influential or important.

(3)put the cart before the horse: A person who puts the cart before the horse is doing things in the wrong order.
(e.g.) “Building a school before knowing the age of the population is putting the cart before the horse.”
