I finished reading “Une Vie” published in1883, written by Guy de Maupassant who is one of the famous French authors. I used my Amazon account in Japanese and read the Japanese translated version.
I checked the Japanese website of Amazon Kindle because of my desire to reread my favorite author’s book (“Perusal Technique” by Masaru Sato). An ad suddenly popped up when I was searching. “Now’s your chance! You can read ‘The unlimited Kindle’ 1 month Free!” What a good timing! I clicked the button immediately. However, It’s not literally unlimited. It does not include works by my favorite author, thus I was disappointed, but I did find some interesting classic books in it, for example, “Une Vie”.
Maupassant’s writing technique was genius. All readers can see the magnificent ocean and woods, travel and join the honeymoon of the protagonists.
After the honeymoon, Jeanne discovered her husband, Julien, turned out to be a real can of worms.
Julien called the shots for their whole married life, managed their property and cheated her twice.
He completely betrayed her, but Jeanne couldn’t anything because she was so naive.
This novel was published in 1883, but it’s not done in the old style, it is still relevant today.
I had to pay an additional cost to buy my favorite author’s book, but I got new insights from “Une vie”. As a result, my decision was correct in clicking the order button of “Unlimited Kindle”.

However, It’s not unlimited literally. There is nothing include my favorite author’s works, thus I disappointed, but I found some interesting classic books in it, contain “Une Vie”.
