Cosmetics are one of the essentials for a woman. It’s common sense to use them in our society, but I suddenly had doubts of cosmetic companies and how they take advantage of their customers. I have since then lost interest in buying new products and had completely stopped using cosmetics several years ago. However, I changed my mind and started using lipstick again. There are 2 reasons. Firstly, I realized that it gives me power in a positive way. Secondly, I found a good lipstick which is mild and doesn’t peel the skin on my lips.
The history of lipstick started 70,000 years ago. There are historical paintings which show that humans used a form of makeup on their lips at around 1200 BC in Egypt. That custom was (2)handed down to us by our ancestors. The color that has always been used is red due to the belief that it protects the mouth and avoids evil spirits from entering the body. I never imagined this kind of interesting history before I wrote this article. I don’t have to (3)hand in a report about lipstick history, but I want to know more details about it. The main purpose of cosmetics was aimed at preserving health. When I was younger, I tried to maintain completely perfect and beautiful skin, eyelids, eyebrows, and lips, by copying some text about how to apply makeup. At that time, the parts were absolutely perfect, but the whole was extremely weird, so it all (4)blew up in my face. I admit that I was not seeing the forest for the trees. People often lose sight of the essentials. Now I advocate that it’s enough for me to use one lipstick if I want to apply makeup.
