I tend to (4)keep everyone at arm’s length because I am instinctively introverted. It has its pros and cons. One of the advantages is that I don’t feel so lonely as long as I have some of my favorite books. Another one is I can manage my time effectively and have no need to prioritize the solidarity of a certain group. Overtime work in Japan is (1)derived from the tradition of unanimity. It (2)deprives workers of their private time.
On the other hand, one of the disadvantages is that I easily get self-complacent. It sometimes (2)deprives me of opportunities of self-improvement and modesty. So I try to get some new experiences to avoid selfishness. It gives me a wider viewpoint which I couldn’t get from reading books.
Last weekend, I had 3 new experiences. Firstly, I watched 2 short documentary movies in a Japanese temple. Secondly, I had a delicious Korean meal with new friends. It wasn’t so affordable, but the restaurant’s ambiance and service were perfect.
Finally, I took Qigong training for beginners. After the lesson, I went to lunch with the trainer and my classmates.
I know new experiences are not always so good. However, it (3)dazzles me to write something related it.
